What is it used for?
- Testing for Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).
How to Perform
- Position: Patient lies supine with the knee bent and foot flat.
- Setup: Place a blood pressure cuff around the thigh.
- Action: Inflate the cuff to 40mm Hg and hold for 2 minutes.
Interpretation of Results
- Positive Test: Pain increases during inflation or the patient cannot tolerate the pressure for the full duration.
Diagnostic Accuracy
- Similar to Lowenberg's sign; use with caution.
