What is it used for?
- Assessing Functional Sensation and innervation density.
How to Perform
- Tool: Use a specialized disk or caliper.
- Action: Touch the fingertip with one or two points randomly.
- Limit: Determine the smallest distance the patient can distinguish as two points.
Interpretation of Results
- Normal: < 6mm.
- Fair: 6-10mm.
- Poor: 11-15mm.
