What is it used for?
- Diagnosing Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI) and Anterior Labral Tears.
- FADDIR: Flexion, ADDuction, Internal Rotation.
How to Perform
- Position: Patient lies supine.
- Action: Flex the hip to 90°, then Adduct and Internally Rotate the hip.
Interpretation of Results
- Positive Test: Reproduction of groin pain, with or without a mechanical click.
Diagnostic Accuracy
- Sensitivity: 90-99% (Excellent screening test).
- Specificity: Low (False positives are common).
