How to Perform
- Action: Squeeze the fingernail until it turns white (blanches). Hold for 5 seconds and release.
Interpretation of Results
- Normal: Color returns in < 3 seconds.
- Positive: Delayed return (>3s) suggests arterial insufficiency or shock.
