Pain Provocation Test (Mimori) Orthopedic Special Test

What is it used for?

  • Diagnosing SLAP Lesions.

How to Perform

  • Position: Arm abducted 90-100°.
  • Action: Patient supinates the forearm fully, then pronates fully. Examiner passively externally rotates the arm in both positions.

Interpretation of Results

  • Positive Test: Pain is worse in pronation than in supination (Biceps anchor twists in pronation).

Diagnostic Accuracy

  • Sensitivity: 100%
  • Specificity: 90%
