How to Perform

  • Position: Patient sits with the forearm pronated.
  • Action: Examiner resists extension of the 3rd digit (middle finger) only.

Interpretation of Results

  • Positive Test: Pain at the lateral epicondyle (this specifically stresses the Extensor Carpi Radialis Brevis muscle).
