  • Position: Patient stands in a 'Military' posture (shoulders drawn back and down).
  • Action: Examiner palpates the radial pulse while the patient extends their neck.

Interpretation of Results

  • Positive Test: Absence of radial pulse.
  • Why: Depressing the shoulders narrows the costoclavicular space, compressing the artery.
